Events

Open Meetings are held throughout the year in the Banstead Community Hall, Park Road, Banstead SM7 3AJ where there is free car parking.

Daytime meeting/events commence at 2.30 [doors open from 2pm] unless otherwise stated.

Speakers are booked to provide an approximately one hour talk on their specialist subject after which there are questions followed by tea / coffee and biscuits.

There is no entrance fee for u3a members. On arrival Banstead u3a members should give their name and postcode at the reception table. Visitors are welcome to attend any talk for a £3 entrance fee except the annual 'Odette Ellicott' lecture which is for Banstead u3a members only.

Refunds: Any social events refunds will be handled by the treasurer and will only be made for the following reasons:

  • 1. If a member from the waiting list can fill the space.
  • 2. If the event is cancelled by the organiser – either by Banstead u3a or an external organiser.
  • 3. At the discretion of the Executive Committee for compassionate reasons.
